1. Reasonably choose the sewing thread material

The physical properties and applicable scenarios of sewing threads of different materials vary. Reasonable material selection is the basis for avoiding breakage and bleaching. As a common natural fiber sewing thread, cotton thread is soft and skin-friendly and has good moisture absorption, but has relatively low strength and is prone to breaking when sewing high-speed or sewing heavy fabrics. If you want to use cotton thread, you should choose products with moderate twist and high fiber quality, and avoid using sewing scenarios that require too high strength.


Polyester thread has high strength and good wear resistance. 2. Optimize the production process

During the spinning process, the parallelism and straightness of the fibers are improved to ensure uniform distribution of the fibers, which can enhance the strength and surface finish of the sewing thread and reduce lint phenomenon. Advanced spinning equipment and reasonable spinning process parameters, such as controlling appropriate twist, if the twist is too low, the sewing thread will easily loosen and bleed; if the twist is too high, the flexibility of the sewing thread will be reduced and the possibility of breakage will be increased.


In the dyeing and post-treatment process, process conditions must be strictly controlled. The size of the needle hole of the sewing machine should match the thickness of the sewing thread. If the needle hole is too small, the resistance will increase when the sewing thread passes, which will easily wear and break; if the needle hole is too large, it may cause the sewing thread to shake during the sewing process, causing lint and uneven stitches. In addition, check and replace the needles of the sewing machine regularly. The worn needles will scratch the sewing thread, causing lint and even break. Generally speaking, after sewing a fabric of a certain length, a new needle should be replaced.


Rationally adjusting the tension of the sewing machine is also key. 4. Proper storage and management of sewing threads

The storage environment of sewing threads also affects its performance. Sewing thread should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture and direct sunlight. A humid environment will cause the sewing thread to become moldy and deteriorate, reducing the intensity; the ultraviolet rays in the sun will accelerate the aging of the fibers, causing the sewing thread to become brittle and break. At the same time, sewing threads of different materials, colors and specifications are stored in a classified manner to avoid entanglement and friction between each other and prevent lint.


When using sewing thread, be careful to keep the spool clean and avoid dust and impurities sticking to the sewing thread.
